Restored Twin Cities entrances

A documentary record of original quarter-sawn oak, Douglas fir, and black walnut doors revived across Minneapolis and Saint Paul neighbourhoods.

Selected Portfolios

Historic commissions by neighbourhood

Every entryway presents distinct climatic weathering and period joinery. These completed commissions reflect our conservation standards across varied architectural vernaculars.

Material Integrity

Joinery, grain, and patina

Surface refinishing cannot compensate for failing substrate. We dismantle loose tenons, draw-bore timber dowels, and true seasonal distortion before applying traditional oil and wax conditioning systems.

Original escutcheons and cast ironmongery are methodically stripped of synthetic over-paint, gently stabilised, and refitted to original mortises so original mechanical action operates smoothly against harsh winter drafts.

Arrange an on-site entryway survey

We inspect exterior doors throughout Minneapolis and Saint Paul to assess seasonal movement, sill moisture, and restoration feasibility.
